LETS ALL PLAY TENNIS OPEN DAY...
...held on Sunday 9th July was a HUUUUUGE success! Almost 40 juniors turned up for a taste and some adults too!
So here is a BIG thank you to everybody who helped in the preparation and on the day itself! Special thanks go to Jason White (BMTC Coach), Adam and Laurie Illingworth, Beth Boothroyd, Annette Carter, Steph Hardwick and Eileen Maddison who helped out with coaching and Tina Whybrow who sorted out all the admin and got people organised.

PRACTICE MORNINGS
...are now happening on Monday mornings for members. If you can't make a Tuesday or Thursday evening but still would like to play some tennis with other BMTC people, why not come down on Monday mornings? Play scheduled to start around 10.30am but hang on until 10.45am before giving up! Just turn up to join in.
Access to Courts
The padlock / key to the two courts directly outside the pavilion have been changed. To access the courts, members now have to enter the pavilion with the old key, then take the new key from the pin board (the one with the purple cover), open the court, then replace the key on the pin board.
Use of Courts: All members are now being asked to place their membership cards within the holder in the tennis pavillion before commencing place. This new system will help us to ensure that only current members are playing tennis on the courts.
We apologise in advance for any inconvenience this may cause but are trying to minimise misuse of our facilities. Thank you for your cooperation. PS don't forget your BMTC card!
BMTC's British Tennis Membership
We have recently been encouraging our members to sign up for free BRITISH TENNIS MEMBERSHIP. Thank you to everyone who has signed up - we now have 34 members who are registered but still need more. Without more support, we will have a very limited allocation of Wimbledon tickets. If you haven't yet signed up, we beg you to do so to help benefit the club! The offer of FREE membership for affiliated club members (like us) has now been extended until 2012. There is also a special offer on a years subscription to ACE and the British tennis Magazine.
